Safe and Secure Operation: Features a hydraulic bypass valve for anti-entrapment protection and a key-protected manual release for emergency operation during power failures. The hydraulic lock secures the gate in open and/or closed positions for added stability and intrusion resistance.

Installation Instructions

1. Mount the enclosure: Secure the 14??×?16? fiberglass box in a protected, stable location.

2. Install the operator: Attach the 400 CBAC unit to the gate with correct alignment.

3. Connect wiring: Hook up power (220–240?VAC), receiver, safety devices, and limit switches to the 455D control panel.

4. Program the receiver: Install the 433?RC receiver and pair the XT4 transmitters.

5. Test manual release: Verify the key-operated manual override works for emergency gate movement.

6. Install safety stops: Position mechanical stops at open and closed extremes to protect the system.

7. Full system test: Conduct several cycles to ensure smooth operation, hydraulic locking, and proper remote control response.

Recommendations

• UL325 Compliance: Ensure a monitored photoelectric safety sensor is installed (required in the U.S. since February 2016). 

• Maintenance Tips: Regularly check and lubricate the hydraulic system to maintain quiet and reliable operation.

• Temperature Adaptation: For extreme climates, consider requesting Arctic-grade hydraulic fluid to maintain performance. (Noted feature in other FAAC models; similar benefits expected.)

• Positive Stops: Install gate stops at both open and closed positions to avoid damage from overtravel.
