Instructions

Excavation & Placement: Prepare a foundation pit matching dimensions (~245?×?353?×?141?mm) and position the pump assembly securely.

1. Hydraulic & Electrical Connections: Connect the hydraulic hoses and control unit, ensuring compatibility with FAAC 108757 drive unit and 455D control board for full automation.
   

2. Seal and Backfill: Stabilize the unit with suitable grout or concrete and ensure proper drainage around the housing.

3. Power Setup: Connect to 115?VAC supply (acceptable range +10% / -6%).
   

4. Initial Testing: Run a few test cycles to verify quiet operation, hydraulic locking, and smooth gate movement.

5. Calibration & Adjustments: Fine-tune sensitivity and cycle frequency as needed (unit rated for up to 45 cycles/hour).

Safety 

• Ensure Type B1 photo-eyes or Type B2 sensing edges are installed; the operator won’t operate without them, per UL 325 safety standards.
  

• For gates longer than 8?ft, a magnetic or electric lock is mandatory for safe operation.
  

• Use positive gate stops to prevent over-travel in both open and closed positions.
  

• Follow safe excavation practices and turn off power before installation or maintenance.

• Monitor motor temperature during initial operations; thermal protection triggers at ~248?°F (120?°C).

 Recommendations

• Use FAAC-approved hydraulic oil and maintain proper fluid levels; consider annual checks.

• For dual-leaf gates, install two pump units (107725.5) along with twin drive units, hoses, foundation plates, and one shared control panel.
  

• If aesthetic integration is key, use the enclosure model (107725.5) for a cleaner install.
  

• Keep spare seal kits (e.g., FAAC 2170.1) and hoses on hand for streamlined service.
  

• Test for smooth operation seasonally or under extreme temperatures, as ambient conditions affect performance.
