Installation Instructions

1. Use this extension arm when the drive unit cannot be aligned directly with the gate’s pivot (common in retrofit or misaligned setups).

2. Mount the U-channel section under the operator cover, and retrofit it to align the drive shaft with the gate leaf via welding or mechanical joinery following FAAC’s alignment guidelines.

3. Ensure the splined shaft is as close as safely possible to the gate’s rotation axis and within 6 inches (15?cm) of it to avoid pinch points.

4. Verify smooth sliding and secure welding of the extension bar and collar before resuming operation.
